Our origin story
In 2021, our Chairwoman Ella traveled to Tanzania and spent several weeks at the Faraja orphanage, where she was involved in a volunteer project. Since this visit, the welfare of the children has been particularly close to our hearts and we have launched many fundraising campaigns since then. In September 2024, we then founded the association in order to be able to use this help in an even more targeted and long-term manner for the children.

Our contact persons on site
Ayoub
Ayoub is our contact person at the Faraja orphanage and has also become a good friend. He grew up in the orphanage himself and now helps out on site as a volunteer. He accompanies the sponsored children to school and gives regular updates on what is currently needed most at the orphanage. He helps us to use the donations wisely and also buys things for the children on site with the donations, such as pizza for everyone at Christmas. He always provides us with photos and videos of the children and the current projects at and in the orphanage.

Mark
Mark Matolo is an architect and the founder of the non-profit organisation Karibu Foundation in Arusha. He is the local contact person for all projects that our organisation supports. He manages a large number of charitable projects and organises international volunteers. Our board member Ella also worked with Mark on site for several months as a volunteer. He provides us with structured information on all projects.
As an architect, he is currently also planning the renovation of the sanitary facilities in the Faraja orphanage, which our organisation will support significantly.

Our mission and goals
With your support, we can make everyday life easier for the children in the Faraja orphanage and create a safe environment. Your donations provide clean drinking water, nutritious food such as vegetables, fruit, rice, maize and beans, as well as essential items such as firewood, soap and washing powder. Clothing, shoes and school materials - exercise books, pens, chalk - are also included.
In addition, we provide furnishings such as chairs, tables, beds and mattresses to offer the children a minimum level of comfort, even if several children often have to share a bed. If a child requires medical assistance, the association also covers these costs.
Through our commitment, we ensure that every donation reaches the children directly and makes a lasting difference. Your support not only gives these children everyday security, but also real hope for a better future.
